A lucky Washington state resident has won the $754.6 million Powerball jackpot after matching all six numbers drawn on April 3, 2024. The winning numbers were 10, 20, 30, 40, 50, and the Powerball number was 10.
The winner has not yet come forward, but lottery officials say they have until April 3, 2025 to claim their prize. The winner can choose to receive their winnings in a lump sum of $467.9 million or in 30 annual installments of $25.1 million.
The $754.6 million jackpot is the fifth largest prize in Powerball history. The largest jackpot, a $1.586 billion prize, was won by three people in January 2016.
The odds of winning the Powerball jackpot are 1 in 292.2 million. Players must match all six numbers drawn in order to win the jackpot.
The Washington State Lottery says that the winner is the first person from the state to win the Powerball jackpot since 2009.
